These shelters and rescues have not been checked by me personally.

 If you have to surrender an animal Please take the time to learn the shelters policies, such as kill or no kill. Do they sell animals for research or to "B" class dealers, and if they euthanize how they do so. Lethal injection is the ONLY humane way.  All others cause suffering!

Check the shelters and if private check all buildings on the property. Many "collectors" pose as private animal shelters and rescue people.

If you are not allowed to visit or inspect the rescue or shelter you are taking your animal to, DO NOT trust it!  Do Not use a shelter that will only allow you to have the animal picked up. While doing research for this project  I found several rescue listings that really belonged to individuals that had charges against them for animal cruelty!

Legitimate rescue groups will only appreciate your concerns for your animal!
